These sample menus were developed to help school nutrition professionals adapt to the evolving standards with ready-to-use menu styles. They include two weeks’ worth of menus, weekly nutritional analysis, and helpful menu planning tips!
BREAKFAST MENUS
Grab & Go
Portable meal components that allow students to pick up breakfast items outside of the cafeteria while keeping service fast and efficient.
STANDARDIZE MENU COMPONENTS - Rotate core items (whole grain cereal, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches) with different sides to simplify production and ordering.
PREP IN BATCHES - Cook or portion ahead (overnight oats, parfaits) to ease morning service.
WARM IN BATCHES - Warm items in bulk, then hold at safe serving temps until service. Avoid reheating too early to maintain quality and safety.
DIGITAL TOOLS - Use menu software for nutrient analysis and scaling; add QR codes for student-facing nutrition info.
